Action: Assess and monitor quality and condition of caribou post-calving range

In terms of nutrition, post-calving areas are most important for their role in providing sufficient nourishment to cows so they can nurse their calves. Long term monitoring of post-calving areas will provide an understanding of how the nutritional characteristics change over time and how such characteristics are affected by climatic conditions such as drought. Monitoring would be ground based and involve community participation.
