Action Details: Habitat

Actions: Find out if any areas need special protection from hunting and/or harassment.

This action may be addressed through the other habitat inventory programs in the plan but has been identified separately here and might receive particular attention as the ARRC sees fit. With respect to moose, the most critical areas identified elsewhere in the Yukon by such planning processes have been particular areas where cows go to have their calves. For example, two such areas have been identified by the community of Mayo and are off limits during the calving period by voluntary compliance of the residents.
