Solution: Use land use planning in conjunction with DAP to protect areas.

The Development Assessment Process as set forth in Chapter 12 of the Umbrella Final Agreement is designed as a universal system to review all proposed land use activities in the Yukon. Once it is operating, it should provide for recognition of wildlife habitats in development plans and reviews and address overlapping concerns in the early stages of development proposals.
