Concern: Harvest management must not only be accurate but also disperse hunting pressure in the Alsek Area.

Resident hunting in Zone 7 has been managed by permits since the mid 1980's. Although this served to limit the harvest and provide accurate harvest information, it was not done on a subzone basis. The result was that much of the hunting for the entire zone has been concentrated on certain parts of the Haines Road.
