Actions: Design First Nation harvest monitoring system.

Any harvest monitoring system that is not permit-based is very hard to design for accurate results and public cooperation. It would be highly beneficial if all Yukon First Nations used a basic monitoring format that was compatible with the Yukon government systems. A workshop on June 10, 1997 involving YTG and representatives from TTC, CAFN, FNNND and RRDC concluded that the entire harvest monitoring approach of both the territorial and First Nations governments should be redesigned and set out a 2 year action plan to accomplish this.
