Action Details: Populations

Concern: In some parts of the planning area the population may be low or declining

The moose population in the Alsek Planning area is not uniform. In some parts it may be declining while in other areas it may be relatively stable or increasing. Consequently, it is not reasonable to manage moose in the Alsek Area as a single population but rather, special management programs should be tailored to address particular portions of the area.
