Concern: Current wolf predation may not permit an acceptable level of moose harvesting.

Present levels of moose kills by wolves in the planning area are unknown. Once such information is available, it will be compared to the total moose population to determine a harvest level that the moose can 'sustain'. At current wolf numbers, the 'sustainable' moose harvest may be significantly less than the community desires.
