Action Details: Populations

Actions: Determine boundaries of moose management units

The boundaries of the management units should coincide with existing Game Management Subzone boundaries in Yukon and their equivalent in B.C. Thus each unit will be a composite of one or more subzones. Determination and agreement on these units should involve all partners. Subdivisions should be made on the basis of previous data so that such information remains useful in monitoring. Management units should also take into account traditional hunting areas, as well as access and use of the landscape by other interests.
