Physical Condition

1. Contribute Physical Condition information to 'PCH Notes' production as required
1. Include Body Condition information in community discussions
4. Maintain PCH Body Condition information sharing arrangement with YTG
7. Use wildlife report form to tell people about diseased/parasitized caribou
7. Work with YTG to design and present information on parasites and diseases to communities
8. Work with Northern Yukon Ecological Knowledge Cooperative on contaminants
 

Harvest

1. Participate in analysis of effects of harvest on population
2. Use new ways of managing hunting on the Dempster Highway and encourage other governments to do so as well
3. Maintain increased enforcement of hunting regulations
4. Check out reports of PCH meat sales
4. Identify which herd commercially-sold meat is from
4. Keep using new ways to tell people PCH meat sales are against the law
5. Continue monitoring and reporting to information system
 

Co-Management

1. Honour Canadian and International PCH agreements and maintain or increase funding to Boards
1. Report 1999/2000 work by May 2000
1. Help PCMB to draft plan for the next 4 years
2. Work closely with HTCs, RRCs and other co-management boards
3. Help PCMB revise co-management approaches based on UBC study recommendations
4. Use traditional knowledge in caribou management where possible
4. Send users to gatherings concerning PCH and encourage presentations
5. Review and revise communication methods if needed
5. Notify communities about field work and land use in their regions
6. Hire PCH users in PCH field work
 

Tourism

2. Make PCH pamphlet and other material available at government outlets
2. Encourage tourism projects on PCH range to contact PCMB
3. Put up aircraft harassment posters in appropriate government buildings
