Action Details: Habitat Ensure traffic hazards to wildlife are minimized via reviews of Cominco's development plans The Robert Campbell Highway traverses the winter range of the Finlayson Caribou Herd and it will become the haul road for Cominco ore if the mine is developed. Company development plans should be reviewed, regardless of the transportation route chosen, to ensure that hazards to all wildlife by increased traffic have been addressed. Cominco submitted its initial Environmental Evaluation under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act in February 1996. The Environmental Screening Report came out for public review and comment on July 28, 1997.
