Project & Events

The Southern Lakes Wildlife Coordinating Committee was set up to provide advice and recommendations to its member governments on the management of wildlife and their habitat in the Southern Lakes area.

We have been working to prepare a regional wildlife assessment and recommendations on wildlife and habitat management. These recommendations represent the best advice on the way forward for wildlife management in the Southern Lakes area.

Key recommendations were developed by the committee after deriving the supporting recommendations. They largely address recurring themes in the supporting recommendations, and are thought to represent priority needs in the area. In many cases considerable work is already being done in these areas.
